It's easy to configure your Pingperfect 7 Days to Die Server. Just follow the steps below.
- Open the 'Configuration Files' section from your control panel.
- Select the 'Configuration Editor' option next to 'pingperfect.xml'
- Refer to the Configuration settings below and change the respective settings where you need to do so in order to configure your server to your desires.
7 Days to Die Version Settings
Alpha 17 //Tick to make the configuration file Alpha 17 specific - DO NOT TICK BOTH
Alpha 18 //Tick to make the configuration file Alpha 18 specific - DO NOT TICK BOTH
General Settings
Server list Settings //Public, Friends only or Private (Will not show on the server list)
Server Name 7DaysToDie V2 Server //Server name, exactly as it will be displayed in the in-game server browser
Server Password //Server password, when set, must be entered by anyone who wants to join your server
Server Reserved Slots 0 //Out of the MaxPlayerCount this many slots can only be used by players with a specific permission level
Server Reserved Slots Permission 100 //Required permission level to use reserved slots above
Server Admin Slots 0 //This many admins can still join even if the server has reached MaxPlayerCount
Server Admin Slots Permission 0 //Required permission level to use the admin slots above
Disabled Networking Protocols //We recommend you leave this setting alone unless the game devs or support have advised turning it on. You have the ability to disable UNET, Raknet, SteamNetworking or any combination of the three
World Settings
Game World PREGEN02 //PREGEN01, PREGEN02 or PREGEN03 for pre-generated randomly generated worlds, RWG for a randomly generated world your server will generate on next startup, or Navezgane for the Navezgane world, if you choose RWG, and you restart your server, you will need to input the RWG world's actual World name here
World Gen Seed Pingperfect //Controls the generated world. **THIS CANNOT BE LEFT EMPTY**
World Gen Size //1024, 2048, 3072, 4096, 5120, 6144, 7168 or 8192, the following world sizes are supported but you will need additional RAM, and they may be unstable, 9216, 10240, 11264, 12288
Game Name Pingperfect //World name that shows up when connecting to server. Also used as the folder where your saves are kept MUST NOT BE SET BLANK
Game Difficulty 2 //0 - 5, 0=easiest, 5=hardest
Cheat Mode //Tick to enable cheat mode, un-tick to disable cheat mode
Day Length 15 //real time minutes per in game day
Day Light Length 15 //in game hours the sun shines per day
Player Killing Mode //Kill Strangers Only, Kill Allies Only, Kill Everyone or No Killing
Persistent Player Profiles //If disabled a player can join with any selected profile. If true they will join with the last profile they joined with
Drop on Death //A17 = Everything | A18 = Nothing, A17 = Backpack only | A18 = Toolbelt only, A17 = Toolbelt only | A18 = Everything, A17 = Delete everything | A18 = Backpack only or A17 = Nothing | A18 = Delete All
Drop on Quit //nothing, everything, toolbelt only or backpack only
Air drop marker //Tick to enable Air drop markers, un-tick to disable air drop markers
Max Animals 50 //WARNING having this set to a high number will make your server lag, we do not recommend going above 60
Zombie Settings
Zombie Movement (daytime, normal zombies) //Walk, Jog, Run, Sprint or Nightmare
Zombie Movement (nighttime, normal zombies) //Walk, Jog, Run, Sprint or Nightmare
Zombie Movement (Feral Zombies) //Walk, Jog, Run, Sprint or Nightmare
Zombie Movement (Blood Moon) //Walk, Jog, Run, Sprint or Nightmare
Blood Moon Enemy Count 8 //The number of zombies spawned during blood moons per player having this set high will cause a lot of lag.
Blood Moon Frequency 7 //What frequency (in days) should a blood moon take place Set to 0 to disable
Blood Moon Range 0 //How many days can the actual blood moon day randomly deviate from the above setting. Setting this to 0 makes blood moons happen exactly each Nth day as specified in BloodMoonFrequency
Blood Moon Warning 8 //The Hour number that the red day number begins on a blood moon day. Setting this to -1 makes the red never show.
Zombie Pursue Time 60 //Self-explanatory, the time a zombie will pursue a player before losing interest
Enemy Spawn Enabled //Tick to enable enemy spawns, untick to disable enemy spawns
Zombie Difficulty //Normal or Feral
Max Spawned Zombies 30 //WARNING having this set to a high number will cause your server to lag. We do not recommend anything above 60
Misc Settings
Max World Transfer Speed (KiB/s) 512 //How fast the world will download to clients
Damage players do to blocks in % 100 //Self-explanatory, Damage players do to blocks in %
Damage AI do to blocks in % 100 //Self-explanatory, Damage AI do to blocks in %
Damage AI does to blocks during blood moons in % 100 //Self-explanatory, Damage AI does to blocks during blood moons in %
XP Gain Multiplier 100 //Self-explanatory, increasing this value will increase XP gained, decreasing this value will decrease XP gained
Block Durability Modifier 100 //Self-explanatory, increasing this value will make blocks more durable, decreasing this value will make blocks less durable
Loot Abundance 100 //Self-explanatory, increasing this value will increase the amount of loot present on the server, decreasing this value will decrease the amount of loot present on the server
Loot Respawn Days 7 //Self-explanatory, the number of server days it will take for the server loot to respawn
Land Claim Size 41 //Self-explanatory, the size of a land claim on the server
Land Claim Dead Zone 30 //Keystones must be this many blocks apart (unless you are friends with the other player
Land Claim Expiry Time 3 //The number of days a player can be offline before their claims expire and are no longer protected
Land Claim Decay Mode //Linear, Exponential or Full Protection until claim is expired, controls how offline players land claims decay. All claims have full protection for the first 24hrs
Land Claim Count 1 //The amount of land claims given to each player who joins the server
Land Claim online modifier 4 //How much protected claim area block hardness is increased when a player is online. 0 means infinite (no damage will ever be taken)
Land Claim Offline modifier 4 //How much protected claim area block hardness is increased when a player is offline. 0 means infinite (no damage will ever be taken). Default is 32x
Air Drop Frequency 0 //How often airdrop occur in game-hours, 0 == never
Bedroll Dead Zone Size 10.00 //Size of bedroll dead zone, no zombies will spawn inside this area, and any cleared sleeper volumes that touch a bedroll dead zone will not spawn after they've been cleared
Bedroll Expiry Time 45 //Number of days a bedroll stays active after owner was last online
Max Uncovered Map Chunks Per Player 65,536 //Self-explanatory, Max Uncovered Map Chunks Per Player
Safe Zone Level 5 //If a player is less or equal this level he will create a safe zone (no enemies) when spawned
Safe Zone Hours 5 //Hours in world time this safe zone exists
Party Shared Kill Range //0,100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 10, 20, 30 or 40, How far away players can be and still receive credit for someone else in the parties kill.
