DayZ | Loot is not spawning / Enable Loot Logging Print

If you believe loot is not spawning on your DayZ server (vanilla or modded items) there is a very easy way to confirm this.

You will enable loot logging, backup then wipe the save data so when the server next starts up it generates all the loot fresh, which gives you the largest amount of loot to analyse in order to determine whether any particular loot / all loot is spawning. You'd then obviously restore the save data afterwards.

The process is the following:

1. Stop Server
   
   
2. Click "Backup Save Data"
   
   
3. Click "Wipe Save Data"
   
   
4. Click "File Manager"
   
   
5. Open the mpmissions folder
   
   
6. Open the folder for the mission your server is currently using (dayzOffline.chernarusplus is Chernarus and dayzOffline.enoch is Livonia, if you're using a custom mission you'll already know the folder name)
   
   
7. Find the cfgeconomycore.xml file and double-click it to open the file.
   
   
8. Find these lines:
   <default name="log_ce_lootspawn" value="false"/>
   <default name="log_ce_lootcleanup" value="false"/>
   <default name="log_ce_lootrespawn" value="false"/>
   
   
9. Change those lines to this:
   <default name="log_ce_lootspawn" value="true"/>
   <default name="log_ce_lootcleanup" value="true"/>
   <default name="log_ce_lootrespawn" value="true"/>
   
   
10. Click "Save and Exit" on the navigation bar.
    
    
11. Start your server.
    
    
12. Click "Log Viewer"
    
    
13. Open the .RPT log file, and you will see what loot is spawning (and if there's any loot that isn't spawning)

14. Once you've confirmed the loot that is spawning, stop your server, then restore the save data using the "Restore Save Data" function of the gamepanel.
